The Music of Mindfulness: An eclectic concert in celebration of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh

Featuring Grammy-nominated Roswell Rudd, Heather Masse of the Wailin' Jennys, Mar Sala, Joe Reilly, Zack Foley of the Zack Foley Quartet and many other special guests along with musicians from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh's monastic community, The Music of Mindfulness will include jazz, spirit-driven a capella, folk, and flamenco-pop as well as guided musical meditations on the art of happiness offered by the monks and nuns.

This unique concert will explore the connections between music, listening, peace and healing. No dress code, no alcohol. Just great music and a loving community on this special evening.  All proceeds from the concert will go to support Thich Nhat Hanh's mindfulness practice center, Blue Cliff Monastery in Pine Bush, NY.

We offer a sliding-scale for general admission tickets $50-$15.  For a donation of $40 you will also receive copy of our newest album and for $50 you will receive the album and a copy of our songbook, available at the concert.  If you cannot come to the concert but would still like to make a support the monastery, all donations of $15 and more will receive a digital download of our newest CD of Dharma music, available August 15. Thank you for your support.

This event is part of the Miracle of Mindfulness Tour 2015, marking the 40th anniversary of the publication of Thich Nhat Hanh’s pioneering first book, The Miracle of Mindfulness, which first introduced mindfulness to a broad audience in the West.
