Learn the art of mindfulness, deepen your practice, and taste the joy and peace of practicing as a community. Seventy-five monks and nuns from Plum Village, Blue Cliff, Magnolia Grove, and Deer Park Monasteries will come together to host this retreat and other events during this US Tour without the physical presence of our beloved Teacher, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Please join the monastics and lay practitioners at Blue Cliff to manifest healing, nourishment, and peace together as a spiritual family, a sangha.
As we train ourselves to be more deeply in touch with our breath and body, our feelings and thoughts, we will quite naturally experience for ourselves the healing and well-being that come with mindful living. Cultivating this practice together in all of our daily activities, we concretely contribute to peace and healing in the world.
The retreat is open to all, including beginners, those who have previously attended retreats, and families with children. The nuns, monks and staff members will lead a mindfulness practice program for teens (ages 13-17) and children (6 to 12 years old). Children under 6 are welcome to join the retreat under the care of their parent.
We welcome the participation of people from all backgrounds, regardless of ethnic origin, race, cultural background, socio-economic class, age, gender, sexual orientation, or physical ability.
Retreat fees include all retreat programs, housing, meals and transportation for those housed off-site. Housing options include dormitory, camping, and hotel options. Special pricing available for students, teens, and children.
