Join us for a Day of Mindfulness, to honor the passing of one year and to welcome in the new. If you would like to celebrate New Year's Eve in a spiritual way, using the opportunity for deep reflection on what has passed and being inspired to make wholesome intentions to welcome in the new year, come and spend the day at Blue Cliff Zen Buddhist practice centre.
Please email us in advance with New Year's Eve in the subject line of your email and the number coming--- firstname.lastname@example.org. This will help with our planning for the day. Offerings of dana (donations) are greatly appreciated and may be placed in the donation box in the back of the Meditation Hall. Your donations will go toward food, utilities and maintenance, and you are welcome to offer what is financially meaningful and possible for you. We suggest between $10-$20.
Day of Mindfulness Schedule Dec 31
9:30 – 11am: Dharma talk by Thay (DVD)
11:30: Sharing on how to reflect on/let go of the passing year, and to begin anew for the year to come.
12:30: Lunch, first 20' in silence.
2 – 3pm: Personal reflection time.
3 – 4pm: Working meditation
4:30-5:45pm: Offering our resolutions for 2016
6pm: Dinner, first 20' in silence.
7:30pm: Be-In (joyfully Being Together in celebration of the passing year)
10pm: Formal New Year Ceremony
