"Be Yourself. Life is
precious as it is. All the elements for your happiness are already
here. There is no need to run, strive, search, or struggle. Just be.
- Thich Nhat Hanh
During this retreat, we will learn to meditate, relax and apply mindfulness (the basic ingredient of meditation) to our daily activities and relationships with friends and family etc. There will be opportunities to ask questions to monks and nuns and to share with each other about what makes us truly happy and what difficulties we are dealing with. Learning to “Be Yourself” is learning to be happy with who we are. When we are happy those around us get happy and so we find out it is true; we really can “Make a Difference”. This retreat promises to be a rich experience and lots of fun with sports, nature walks, creative activities and a bonfire evening on the schedule. Participants are asked to attend the whole retreat. We are happy to receive teenagers (13-19y) on their own but parents are also welcome. Please be aware the daily schedule will include some activities just for teenagers.
Can you help spread the word to teens about this retreat? Please download the flyer below (“Teen Retreat Flyer”) and post up in your local schools, colleges, libraries, cafes, bookstores etc. Thank you.
